(361) 853-0155 CRONK Barbara Cronk, 87, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2005 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Barbara was a 39 year resident of Corpus Christi, Texas. She was on April 5, 1918 to Frances and Harry Copeland and raised in Salem, Massachusetts. She married her college sweet heart of 42 years in 1944. Barbara was a very caring and loving mother.

She graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Finance. Barbara was employed by the Carrier Corp. in New York State, during her post college days. She enjoyed participation in Church Activates, charity functions, the love of reading and she was a wonderful grandma and great-grandma to her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her kind heart, loving nature love of candy and coffee ice cream.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Harry C. Copeland; mother, Frances Copeland; son, Edward W. Cronk; husband, Hugh E. Cronk. Barbara is survived by her son, Michael S.

She was born Doris Annabelle McMurray in De Moines, Iowa, November 9, 1915.

At the age of 6, the family moved Chamberland, South Dakota where she rode her horse to a one room school house. She graduated from Pukwana High School in 1934. Doris married Park Taylor and they traveled throughout the United States settling in Bishop, Texas where they raised their four children. She owned and operated a Mexican food restaurant in Bishop for 8 years. The family relocated to Corpus Christi in 1958.

Doris worked many years in the alternative health business. For the past 22 years, she worked at the Nutrition Shop as a Reflexologist. Doris was very active socially. She loved dancing, plays and concerts. She was a big fan of South Texas Opra, always sitting on the front row.

She loved to travel and had friends all over the world. She met and married her husband, Richard Irby three years ago. They had a Grand wedding. She is survived by her husband, Richard Irby; two sisters, Irene (Bill) Sandcamp of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Wynona Newton of Monet, Missouri; sons, Richard (Aileen) Taylor, Mack (Karen) Taylor: daughters, Sharon (Bill) Chatterton, all of Corpus Christi, Sarah Kathryn (James) Leatherwood of Lake Corpus Christi, adopted son, Grant Taylor; 17 grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews. and countless friends.

She was born on February 1, 2005 to Rutilio P. Mora and Sally Espinosa. Brittni Renee Mora was a loving daughter and sister. She will always be remembered for her big brown eyes, and brave will to survive. Her loving presence will be missed.

(361) 853-0155 DEBOARD Darrell DeBoard, 48, GASTON Much loved Kingsville doctor, gentleman, gentle man, "Earl Gaston, died Sunday, February 20, 2005 after a brief illness. Born October 14, 1908, in Abeline, Texas, to Finis Earl and Leanora Gaston, he lived most of. his childhood in Tyler, Texas. He was a graduate from Tyler Junior Collete, The University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston. After completing his medical training, he marred his love and his life long partner, Mattie Tadlock, in July, 1937.

With Mattie at his side as nurse, medical technologist, and receptionist, he opened an office in Falfurrias that fall where he practiced until 1946. Two years of that time were spent serving as a doctor aboard the USS Baltimore, a cruiser, in the Pacific theater during World War II. In 1946 Mattie, Earl, and their daughter, Margaret, moved to Kingsville, Texas to join the Kingsville Clinic where he was a partner until his retirement in 1988. He was a servant in many areas of his community including Planned Parenthood, the Cancer Society, and the Rotary Club. Very dear a to his heart was the privilege of serving as a doctor for the Presbyterian Pan American School for 38 years.

He was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon and then as an elder. Unheard of today he was patients seven days of the week. His patients knew that on Sunday mornings he would be available in his office from until 10:50 when he celebrated with a Memorial Service on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 1:00 PM at the Catheral of the Palms located at 3401 S. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 42 yrs of service and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Luke was a member of the Parkside Church of God.
