Antoinette Berthe' Allison On Monday evening, April 21, 1997, Mrs. Antoinette Berthe' Welty Allison died at an Austin retirement center. She was known as "Mickie" to her family and very close friends. Mrs. Allison was born January 14, 1908 in a small town near Brownwood, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Lafayette Augustus Welty, who died December 16, 1942 and is buried in Brownwood; and her mother, Eleanor Thrypson-Willard Welty who died September 1955, and is buried in Denver, Colorado. Her beloved husband, Gus Allison, was a handsome, colorful man who came to Denver from Greece. He was the center of her life and they lived a long full life together in Denver until his death in 1972. She moved to Austin, Texas in 1979. There she was a good friend and neighbor to many for over 15 years.

She was active in helping others, including several happy years working five mornings a week in the office of the Austin Symphony at Symphony Square. The family would like to thank the Retirement Nursing Center Staff and Hospice Austin for their excellent care of Mrs. Allison. Mrs. Allison is survived by many loving relatives including, Joe and Lisa Schram and their son, B.J., of Cedar Park, Texas, who have helped care for Mrs.

Allison for many years. Other surviving relatives who loved her are Gaile and Asa Schram of McDade, Jacob Schram of San Antonio, Nerine Kirtley of Canyon Lake, Ray and Pat Welty of San Antonio, Catherine, Don and Christian Chandler of Dallas, Sherty, Fred and Lindsay Michaels of Chicago, Illinois, Dolly Carmichael of Gilbert Arizona, Bill and Jeanne Eaton of Houston, and others. Mrs. Allison is survived by many friends, but one, Erma Vance, is so very special that she is an inspritation to all who know her. Everyone who knew Mrs.

Allison will miss her love and wonderful sense of humor. Memorial donations may be made to Reverend Duane Brooks, Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Cedar Park, Texas. Annah Mae Carr Annah Mae Carr, 89, of Austin, died Saturday, April 26, 1997.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Carr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 28, 1997, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, with Reverend Arthur Fray of Northwest Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, Texas, at 3:00 PM. CookL Walden. 6100 North Lamar Carl B. Case January 4, 1926 April 24, 1997 The Reverend Carl B. Case, Th.D., passed from this life on Thursday evening, April 24, 1997, in the presence of wife and children following a short bout with cancer. Dr.

Case completed his undergraduate work at Mississippi College and received his doctorate of theology in psychology and counseling from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1957. He retired after many years as Chaplain at Rusk State Hospital, Rusk, Texas. He was one of the founders of the movement establishing Clinical Pastoral Education in Texas. He also incorporated counseling as an integral component of religious education and established an accredited CPE program at the Rusk hospital. Upon retirement he was granted Chaplain Supervisor Emeritus status by the American Association of Clinical Pastoral Education and maintained clinical membership in the Amercian Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

Previously he had been adjunct professor at Jacksonville Baptist Seminary and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Raised on farmland in rural Mississippi during the Great Depression, Dr. Case always maintained close ties with his roots, working the land and raising cattle there up until his early retirement years. Tuesday cattle auctions were a weekly source of enjoyment. Two years ago Dr.

Case and his wife, Helen, moved to Austin to be near their son. He treasured his life in Austin, especially in relation to his involvement with Highland Park Baptist Church, whose people, Christian philosophy and mission gave him great comfort and joy. Dr. Case possessed an abiding love for his family and friends and for the ministry of Jesus Christ. As his family repeated to him during his last moments, "Job well done, good and faithful servant!" The Lord then mercifully received this loyal steward, keeper of the faith, this kind and humble man.

He is survived by his wife, Helen, of 52 years; daughter, Phyllis England of Vernon, Texas; and son, Bryan of Austin. Funeral services will be held April 28. 1997, at Capps Funeral Home, Tylertown, Mississippi, and will be officiated by the Reverend David Breckenridge of Highland Park Baptist Church. Bertha M. Cortez, born October 24, 1923 1 passed on April 20, 1997 to begin her eternal life with the Lord. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband, Ramiro G. Cortez; and her beloved children, who treasure and will miss her very much, Reverend Ramiro Ricardo Cortez, OMI, Armando Alberto and his wife, Ruth, Carlos Bernardo and his wife, Ann, Alfred Alejandro and his wife, Rosemary, Suzzanna Bertha C. Currier and her husband, Steve, Maria Lourdes C. Ramirez and her husband, Ricardo, Maria Carmen C.

Saldana and her husband, Edgar, George Anthony Cortez and his wife, Ludi, Maria Dolores Cortez M.D., Olga Pia C. Cervantes and her husband, Alex, Paula Regina Cortez, John Francis Cortez and his wife, Gladys, Thomas Martin Cortez and his wife, Dolores, Samuel Houston Cortez and his wife, Graciela. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren. Visitation was from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 1997 at Zizik-Kearns Riebe-Saunders Funeral Home in San Antonio. A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m.

Rev. Donahue was a meteorologist for 32 years with the U.S. Weather Bureau. Rev. Donahue was also the founding pastor of the Church of Glad Tidings 1 in Austin.

Funeral services for Rev. Donahue will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, 1997, at the Church of Glad Tidings, 2700 Northland Drive. Burial will be in the Bagdad Cemetery in Leander. Rev. He was a lifetime resident of the Austin area, and Lago Vista, and a member of Rolling Hills Community Church. He loved hunting, flower gardens and gardening.

He was considered by his family and friends as a kind. gentle, and loving person. He was a selfless person, always willing to lend a helping hand. Mr. Frennesson was a commercial appraiser for the City of Austin for 24 years, The family will receive friends at the funeral home, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, April 27, 1997.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Conway Hart and Ruby Ethel Zoch. Survivors include his lifetime partner, Harry McDonald, of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister; and three brothers, all of Austin. He was a man of many talents and excelled in life.

Johnson Milam S. Johnson, 89, a longtime Austin resident, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, April 25, 1997.

He was born in Llano County, February 26, 1908, the youngest of 12 children. After graduating from Llano High School, he went to work for Nelson Davis Sons Wholesale Grocers in Llano. He transfered to Lockhart where he met Albertine Koennecke of Fredericksburg and married August 2, 1931. In 1939, they moved to Austin where he continued his employment with Nelson Davis, subsequently the Fleming Company, as a salesman calling on grocers and institutional customers throughout Central Texas until his retirement after 50 years. When moving to Austin, he and his wife joined the First Methodist Church and its Couples Class of which he was an active member, frequently leading the singing and attending faithfully until his recent illness.

He also served as an usher in the church for 52 years. He was a avid deer hunter in his younger days; a competitive domino player in recent years; and enjoyed maintaining his yard at home until his recent illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Albertine, in September, 1991, after 60 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Dorothy J.

Watson and her husband, John, of Houston; his son, Milam S. Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Judy, of Austin; his five grandchildren, Randy Watson of Fort Worth, Cindy McShurley of Nacogdoches, Kim Bridges of Bastrop, Amy Moore of Abilene and Jennifer Johnson of Plano; his seven great grandchildren; and his special friend and caregiver, Jamie Clay of Austin. He had lived in Austin since 1965 and was owner and of the Poodle Dog 3 Lounge. operator, avid Texas Longhorn fan and attended the football games until his passing. He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry L.

Sean Sabastian Jones Sean Sabastian Jones was born October 1, 1972, in Joliett, Illinois, to George and Elizabeth Jones.

Sean served in the United States Army for four years. He was united in holy matrimony to Vickie R. Evanson on December 16, 1994. Sean and Vickie moved to Texas and made Austin their home. He attended Southwest School of Electronics, where he was an honor student.

While attending school, he was employed at IBM. Sean was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elizabeth Jones. Sean leaves to cherish precious memories, his loving wife of two and a half years, Vickie Renee Jones; his beloved sister, Tori Nadia Jones, of Joliett, Illinois; his uncle, James Hosey who he adopted as his father; his aunt, Dorothy Hosey, treasured as his adopted mother, of Joliett, Illinois; his grandparents, John Wesley and Eddie Mae Hosey of Bay Springs, Mississippi; brother and sister Sammy and Tommie Hines Waco, Texas; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Rose Etta King Rose Etta King, a truly special person loved dearly by all who knew her, died on April 24, 1997, following open heart surgery. Her father, Jesse James Byrd, Sr. and her husband, Melvin King, Sr. predeceased her. Rosa Etta was born on March 19, 1946 in Austin. She attended Austin schools and was graduated from Anderson High Secretary School.

Rose Etta was an extraordinary legal secretary, fiercely proud of her work, accepting nothing less than the best, and renowned for her secretarial skills. She gave her best to ensure that individuals and families receiving legal help through Legal Aid had first class representation. More importantly, she was an extraordinary human being who refused to give in to the adversity that came her way. Her unflagged good sense of humor, and her optimism in the face of adversity touched the lives of all those with whom she came in contact in a way that few people can.

She was a rock of strength and a remarkable example to all. She will be missed tremendously not only by her immediate family but by her friends and her extend Legal Aid family. Lyle (Lee) Lilienthal Lyle (Lee) Lilienthal, 54, of Austin, joined our Heavenly Father on Friday, April 25, 1997. A veteran of the United States Army during the Viet Nam War, he was the recipient of many medals, those being the Bronze Star, the Army Commendation Medal, the Good Conduct Medal (with silver loop), the Army Service Ribbon, the Vietnam Service Medal (with two Bronze Service Stars), the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal (with 6 Device), the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), the Parachutist Badge, the Expert Badge (Rifle), and the Overseas Service Ribbon. He was also a devoted member and contributor of Lanier Baptist Church. Mr. Lilienthal was a loving, caring husband and father who was hard working and good natured.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. A family visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 29, 1997, at Lanier Baptist Church, with Reverend Richard Dahlgren and Reverend Chun Sik Kim officiating.

CookL Walden. 6100 North Lamar Juanita Rodriguez Juanita Rodriguez, 92, of Miami, Florida and formerly of Georgetown, Texas, died Thursday, April 24, 1997 in Miami. She was a long time resident of Georgetown and was a former employee of Roth's Bakery in Georgetown. She was a member of St. Helen's Catholic Church for many years.

Rosary for Mrs. Rodriguez is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in Funeral Home in Georgetown. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the St.
