New Secondary Profession
With the release of the new expansion, a new secondary profession called Archaeology was added. Players travel across the world of Azeroth and search dig sites where they collect necessary fragments of a certain type. These fragments are converted into artifacts, some of which are directly related to other professions.
About Profession Levels
In Cataclysm, the number of skill levels increased to 525 points. The progression of skill improvement is divided into ranks. There were originally six ranks in the game, but with the level increase, was added seventh rank.

Alchemy
Alchemy in World of Warcraft is a profession that allows players to create various potions, elixirs, flasks, and transmutations. - Transmute: Shadowspirit Diamond now requires three green gems of any color and gives 2 diamonds per transmutation.
- New Transmute: Living Elements: turns Volatile Life into 15 Volatile elements. The type of element depends on your location.
- Metal Transmutations: Two new metal transmutations have appeared: Pyrium Bar and Transmute: Truegold.
Blacksmithing
Blacksmithing in World of Warcraft is a profession that allows players to create various armor, weapons, and other items from metals and other materials. This profession pairs well with mining. It also provides the ability to use two additional sockets for gems, giving an extra boost to certain stats. These sockets are placed in bracers and gloves.

Inscription allows players to create glyphs, scrolls, cards, and various other useful items. This profession is closely related to Herbalism, as many materials for Inscription are obtained from herbs.
This profession has also received new items. Ashen Pigment has been added, which allows you to create Blackfallow Ink. You can also find Burning Embers and Inferno Ink. Dust of Disappearance has been added, which allows you to remove glyphs, also you can see new five types of Darkmoon cards and unique shoulder enchants. Adventurer’s Journal can increase quest experience, damage, or provide a healing effect.
Jewelcrafting
This profession allows players to create jewelry, gems, and other items that can enhance their characters or other players’ characters. The created gems can be used in socketed gear to increase stats.
With the new season, a large number of green and blue quality gems have been added. There is now only one meta gem in the game called Shadowspirit Diamond. A new reagent called Chimera’s Eye, is used for the highest quality gems.
Leatherworking

Tailors can create Dreamcloth by combining 8x Bolt of Embersilk Cloth and 30 of any one of the Volatile elements. This is used instead of creating specialization-specific gear.
Herbalism
Herbalism allows players to gather various herbs and plants that can be used to create potions, elixirs, and other alchemical mixtures.
In the game, new herbs have been added such as Azshara’s Veil, Cinderbloom, Heartblossom, Whiptail, and Twilight Jasmine. There is a chance to obtain a Lifebound Seed as well as a Volatile Life.
Mining
Mining allows players to detect and extract various types of metals and stones used for creating valuable items and jewelry. Mining is one of the most important professions in the world of Azeroth, because metals and stones are used in various industries.
The new expansion has brought us new types of ore: Obsidium Ore, Elementium Ore, and Pyrite Ore. These are valuable resources for some crafting professions. The profession ability Toughness now grants 120 Stamina.
Skinning
