How are college transcripts verified? ›

Verified true copies are marked with a stamp, signature, or other notation from the employer or IHE to verify that what is submitted is a true and unaltered copy of an official transcript.

You must be admitted as an undergraduate UMGC student. You must complete a minimum of 120 credits. You must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 overall and a minimum grade of C for any class applied to the major. You must complete all general education requirements, including PACE 111 as your first course at UMGC.

Transcripts and academic records

UC requires official documents to be submitted after a student accepts an offer of admission. Students who accept an offer of admission to UC must provide official academic records (transcripts) from all institutions they attended.

If you have a U.S. high school diploma or GED, or you graduated from a U.S. college or university, you qualify for undergraduate admission at University of Maryland Global Campus, at the bachelor's degree or undergraduate certificate level.

How do I graduate with honors from UMGC? Graduation honors are conferred on bachelor's degree recipients only. If you are a bachelor's degree candidate, you must have at least a 3.80 grade-point average and have completed at least 30 credits of graded coursework at UMGC to be eligible for graduation honors.
