Rimfire Truck Gun Nirvana? | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 3,058 ColdCase1984OP Campfire Tracker | | OP Campfire Tracker Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 3,058 | Truck guns come in all calibers and gauges to me, so figure I'd post this here for the most loony. My truck prerequisite is the ability to snatch the weapon up inside your truck cab and slide it out the window to engage targets of opportunity (of course following all the appropriate laws of your state or kingdom). I found an apparently good quality product that converts any 18.5-in Ruger 10/22 into a 26-in OAL FN P90 look alike that would be whippet fast outta truck window. Below is a link. I'm thinking good trigger group, Threaded Tacl*te Barrel (if they're long enough), coupla BX-25, pistol light/laser at 9 0'clock and either H1 Micro or Nikon Rimfire BDC scope. It would make it country handy, accurate and deadly on smaller vermin from said truck cab. If I pop the dough for one, I'll shoot it left-handed as a good act of contrition and tell ya if empties hit and/or hurt. Believe it or not, but I actually practice wrong-sided with every firearm I own. Have killed deer and turkey that way cuz it's handier at times.
