Is Joy Ride a good movie? ›

Joy Ride is one hell of a trip and one that you will be on board with early on and that rewards more as it progresses. Fresh score. Fresh takes, classic gags, and excellent performances from its leads elevate an occasionally clunky and very packed script into something well worth watching.

Russell's previous films, Joy is still worth watching for Jennifer Lawrence's great performance and some lovely, well-written scenes.
