Emmerdale: Belle tells Tom she is leaving the village

Emmerdale Belle Dingle’s dog Piper could be the reason for Tom King’s death, fans have predicted.

For several months, Tom (James Chase) has been abusing, gaslighting and lying to Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper). At one point, he even poisoned her beloved pup, Piper.

Things took a dramatic turn though during Belle and Tom’s trip to Wales. After punishing Piper by leaving her outside, and after days of abuse, Belle fled back to the village.

Standing her ground, she told Tom that their marriage was over - with Tom having since moved in with the Kings, who are blissfully unaware of his true nature.

And despite Belle ending things with him, and heading up to Scotland for a break, Tom is not letting their relationship go. In episodes last week, he sneakily got himself his own key to Belle’s home.

He then received a suspicious package and snuck into Belle’s home. Later he was seen leaving with a huge smirk on his face.

And with reports that Tom actor James Chase is set to leave the soap following the conclusion of the abuse storyline, fans reckon he is set to get killed off.

However, in what would be a huge twist viewers are convinced it could be Belle’s dog Piper that could contribute towards his death

Over on a Reddit thread, one fan speculated: “Do we think Piper is going to have a hand in killing Tom somehow?”. Sharing their theory, another fan replied: “Belle pushes Tom away while they argue. Pipers behind his feet and he ends up tripping and bashing his head.”

A third penned: “A whodunit story where he is found at the bottom of the stairs? So police arrest a few people but everyone has water-tight alibis.

“Then in one episode, the coroner rules cause as accidental. At the end of the same episode, a flashback shows Piper pulling the rug from under his feet, causing the fall down the stairs. Can't wait!'

Another wrote: “Maybe Piper bites him on the a** near a cliff. Then Tom is like, 'You little s***!', charges Piper… but Piper does this epic dodge and Tom plummets to his death. Or Piper bites his ankles and he tumbles down the stairs and cracks his head off the wall.”
